MAC Sound has provided complete sound design, engineering, equipment and personnel services for White Christmas the Musical since it’s European Premiere in 2006.
This year it was staged at the beautifully refurbished Dominion Theatre in London’s West End for a limited Christmas season. Playing to sell out houses the production featured Aled Jones, Tom Chambers, Rachel Stanley and Louise Bowden in the lead roles with UK Direction by Morgan Young
A complete sound system was installed specifically for the show requirements, this included Shure UR-1M miniature radio microphones, AKG, DPA, Neumann, Sennheiser and Shure Orchestra microphones, Soundcraft VI6 96/35 digital mixing console and multiple Martin Audio W8LM line array speaker systems. MAC Sound were also responsible for the extensive Clear-Com communications and closed circuit television systems required for the production.
**** Andrew Corcoran and the (about) twenty piece orchestra he conducts – they play Berlin’s music impeccably, with both swooning ease and brassy support, depending on what is required. The sound is lush, full and very welcome.
**** Aled’s voice was remarkably vibrant and had terrific depth hitting the back of this huge theatre effortlessly.
